Who Am I

An Educated Health Professional

I received my formal training through Duke Integrative Medicine and I am a NBH-WC Board Certified Health Coach. Before that I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Nutrition, with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.

A Professional Athlete

Growth inspires me. I’ve been seeking it out in my own life as a professional athlete for the past 10 years - seeking every avenue to grow my ability in the sport of beach volleyball on and off the court. Growth in my profession led me to learn more about nutrition, exercise, therapy, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and relationships. As a beach volleyball athlete, the game requires my own physical state to be top notch to compete in extreme outdoor conditions - sometimes playing up to 7 hours of volleyball in one day, in the heat, in the south! The game also requires my mental state to be dialed in as beach volleyball is one of the most intense emotionally/mentally challenging sports. The game also requires you to be an excellent teammate and partner - you have one person on your side of the net battling with you through the emotional ups and downs of the game.

A Professional Coach

I have been coaching for over 10 years. As a sports coach, I’ve coached 4-year-olds and 50 year-olds. I’ve worked with all kinds of ages and demographics as a co-coach, head coach, mentor, and mentee. Coaching has been a passion of mine because I love being a part of growth and change in the lives of others. For a long time, that partnership was growth on the court in the game of volleyball - and it grew from there. Now that relationship building happens off the court in everyday life, as I partner with clients to help them grow into their healthiest, happiest life - much like I’ve helped many players grow into their ability to play at higher levels of the game.

A Committed Partner

I value relationships. I value connection. I value truthfulness and authenticity. I don’t take partnerships lightly - I believe that human connection is the most important thing in life.

A Health and Wellness Nerd

I LOVE learning. Especially when it comes to my body. I’ve experimented with countless diets on myself to learn what works for me. I’ve seen chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists, massage therapists, postural restoration therapists, strength coaches - you name it, I’ve been there. I’m constantly looking to learn more and grow my understanding of the human body - how it moves, the impact of food, and more.

*** I am NOT a licensed or registered Dietician. I will not give out nutritional plans personally. If that is the right service for you, I will connect you with one of the health professionals I have worked with personally so you can get the best medical advice.
